We are seeking an Assistant Operations Manager to efficiently and effectively support our Operations Managers in executing commercial and federal government contracts within the grounds maintenance, construction, building maintenance, and IT sectors. This role requires a strong understanding of operational processes, government contracting regulations, and the ability to coordinate multiple tasks and teams effectively.

Responsibilities:

  • Assists the Operations Manager in developing and maintaining operational plans, schedules, and budgets.
  • Coordinates with subcontractors, vendors, and government clients to ensure operational efficiency and compliance.
  • Tracks operational performance, identifies potential issues, and develops improvement plans.
  • Prepares and maintains operational documentation, including contracts, change orders, and performance reports.
  • Supports the bidding process by assisting in the preparation of proposals and estimates.
  • Ensures compliance with federal regulations, contract terms, and company policies.
  • Provides administrative support to the operations team, including scheduling meetings, managing correspondence, and preparing reports.
  • Assists in the development and implementation of quality control procedures.
  • Performs site inspections to monitor operational performance and identify potential issues.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, operations management, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in project management, preferably in the grounds maintenance, construction, or building maintenance industry.
  • Strong understanding of federal contracting regulations and procedures.
  • Proficiency in operations management software and tools.
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with government clients.
  • Knowledge of OSHA safety standards.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish)
