Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Sourcing, Estimating, and Contracting (SEC) Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support throughout the entire contract lifecycle, from market research and cost estimation to proposal preparation and subcontractor coordination. Key Responsibilities:
- Market Research & Niche Identification: Assist in identifying potential clients and market opportunities within government and commercial sectors.
- Estimating & Budgeting: Help prepare accurate cost estimates, aligning them with project requirements.
- Proposal Development & Bidding: Support proposal preparation, coordinate with technical teams, and make sure bids meet client needs.
- Procurement & Contract Management: Aid in procurement processes, contract negotiations, and track key deliverables.
- Subcontractor Coordination: Manage subcontractor relationships and align performance with operational expectations.
- Client Communication & Relationship Management: Maintain strong client relationships, schedule meetings, and track client satisfaction.
- Risk Mitigation & Contingency Planning: Identify risks in ongoing contracts and assist with mitigation strategies.
- Strategic Growth & Diversification: Support research on new trends and market opportunities to expand our portfolio.
- Team Support & Coordination: Provide administrative support, streamline processes, and foster effective communication across teams.
Qualifications:
- Relevant experience in procurement, estimating, and/or contract management is preferred (internships welcome).
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
- Knowledge of government contracting regulations (e.g., FAR) is a plus.
- Experience in IT services, construction, or maintenance is a plus.
